Will they or won't they? ... Watch as the saga unfolds

Today, when Timber woke up, he looked a little rakish and weird. Upon closer inspection, I noticed one of his ears definitely tilted more than the other. Now this is strange because Timber is supposed to be 95% labrador. And for those of you who don't know dogs, that means big 'ole floppy elephant ears (see pictures of Miles and his monstrous baby ears). timberHe'd have to be more Husky than Labrador for his ears to stand up when he got older, and so we had just assumed he'd be a floppy eared guy. Later on in the day, the ear seemed to be unfolding even more, to the point where I could see inside the inner ear.

Some other changes have been taking place for Timber too (and not just the usual boy stuff either). His blue eyes have darkened to a very cool greenish gray, although they look brown in most pictures. He's also proving himself to be a quick learner and a calmer specimen of doggie than Miles, although definitely more stubborn and willful. So now we just have to wait and see on those ears... will they or won't they?

Definite further upward movement on the right ear.Not standing straight up but moving in that direction for sure.

Today the ear is perching straight up when he tilts his head a certain way, and then it falls. Looks like another week or so and we'll have a one ear up one ear down doggie. The other ear is beginning to perk up as well.
