One two punch

Last week I finished another week of 50+ hours of work. That made 4 weeks of 50+ hours per week in a row. Now some of you may think, big deal, I work hard too. Well consider this, I drive at least 1 hour each way. So if I work 55 hours one week, I am away from home 65 hours, which doesn't include 1/2 hour for lunches and the weekends. It has been a whirlwind month, but I am getting paid for the hours I work, which is so sweet. Today I actually left at a decent time and got home before it was dark. I have been going to work in the dark, and then coming home in the dark. It was strange this past weekend to see what the world looks like in the daytime. There aren't very many windows at work, especially when you are too busy to look out them.

Kaz has also been working a ton of hours. It has been really crazy. We come home, eat at like 8pm, watch the Daily Show, and go to bed. It's sad when you are tired at 9:30pm and sleep like a baby till 5am. I took this past Friday off (I even worked 50 hours last week), and spent some time doing things for myself. It was a sweet 3-day weekend. Yes, I do have an announcement for the 5 of you who actually read this blog on a semi-weekly basis, but I won't reveal it now. Maybe you can speculate. Maybe Kaz should make another poll about it.

So this week I am going to work a normal 40 hour work week and see how that feels. I felt really bad that I left so early from work today, even though it's the normal ending time. It felt like I was leaving early on company time or something. If you are working alot, I sympathize with you. Working hard is great, but it really takes a toll on you.
