This past winter, when George suggested he absolutely needed a new phone, one of the genre of "smart phones" which do just about everything for you but apply lotion to your back, I was skeptical. Who needs that much in a phone? So I accompanied him to the AT&T store to check out a few models, with absolutely no intention of getting one myself.
I walked out convinced I HAD to have an i phone. It seemed silly to bother with anything else. I think the thing that no one really understands about the i phone until they use it is just how intuitive it is. It knows what I want before I do- deciphering correctly spelled words from my emails riddled with typos and toggling to a wide view screen or advancing an application with a shake of my wrist. Because there is no keyboard or dial pad, this phone is all screen and the big visuals and high definition is BIG time appealing.
I've had my i phone for several months now and like an addict, I'm not sure how I lived without it before. The applications have kept Owen entertained in many difficult situations and the ability to have email access anywhere, anytime has helped me to stay efficient when working away from home. The only downside has been that it sucks battery down in a day with heavy usage, but given that my husband has portable solutions for our electronic needs at every turn, I've not had to worry. If you have nay doubts about whether or not you need this much phone, trust me. You do!
